Let’s face the facts.

TikTok might be the last great social media app to grace our digital devices.

After that, we have nothing else.

And before we know it, maybe a year or two from now, TikTok will be yet another casualty in the blood-drenched field.

The modern social media landscape is already a barren wasteland, stained by social media platforms that couldn’t survive.

If you can’t see this for what it is, then I can’t help you.

And in case you haven’t noticed, there’s nothing left that can truly capture our attention and hold it for more than a few fleeting moments.

Even the former greats like Snapchat and Instagram have lost their luster.

It’s only a matter of time before every social media platform, including TikTok, become relics of the past.

Social Media Has Ruined Our Ability to Focus

The primary reason for social media’s impending doom is our attention spans.

We simply don’t have the attention span to keep up with multiple social media platforms.

Just look at how many people you know who only use one or two social media platforms.

The average person can only handle so much information overload before they tune out. And with the vast majority of social media content being nothing more than fluff, it’s no wonder our attention spans are getting shorter and shorter.

According to Creatopy, “bite-sized content is the new norm.” They add, “Snackable social media content performs better, so brands focus on it to drive engagement by satisfying users’ desire to get quick information.”

Why?
