The lure of riches and renown is a recurrent theme for us lonely writers wandering the road to online writing stardom.

“Do this and you’ll make money,” writing coaches say.

“Do that and you’ll go viral,” they tell us.

“Quantity trumps quality,” they add.

And they say these things with a smile. Catering to our greed, vanity and ego.

They know what will make us tick and they use it against us. Selling us high-priced online courses that only teach the basics.
