Unfortunately, the science doesn’t support this claim. Read The Memory Illusion by Julia Shaw. She’s a scientist who studies the brain and memory. Our brain can’t even take in all stimuli in our environments, let alone mentally record it all for later. Other factors such as attention and wakefulness play a crucial part in recording memories in the brain. As well, our brain will develop a bias to include or exclude the details of events. Even if we’re attentive and well rested. One of the most startling things is every time we recall a memory we also rewrite the details of the memory with how we remembered it. Which makes memories faulty at best. Definitely read the book if you want to learn more on memory.
