Netflix: “Sleep is my greatest enemy.”

In 2017, the official Netflix account on Twitter posted that bold statement. As you can see right here from their tweet.

It’s a tongue-in-cheek way of saying Netflix’s streaming service keeps viewers awake at night, watching just one more episode. And then one more. Until your eyes are bloodshot, blurry, and can’t stay open.

At this point, Netflix’s tweet is a running joke.

But a joke with merit.

For years now, Netflix has been on a “secret mission” to rid the world of sleep and destroy the human body while sacrificing your health and well-being.
