What I believe all fathers should be
I’m 42 and about to be a Dad
On the prospect of Parenthood and being called “Daddy”
I took my wife to the doctor today. For the baby’s monthly checkup.
The baby is healthy. Vitals are normal.
And little human growing inside my wife’s womb is 24 weeks today.
6 months and counting.
To think, it’s been six wonderful months since we conceived our baby while honeymooning in beautiful Costa Rica.
We’re now safely back in my wife’s native country—the Philippines—living a happy life together, close to her parents and family.
The struggles that led up to our marriage abroad made it seem like we’d never be in the same country at the same time.
Especially during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, with restrictions on daily life and travel.
The Pregnancy Test
When my wife took her first pregnancy test in September last year and excitedly showed me the results, it made the struggle worth it.
Because…
All my life, I’ve wanted to be a father. To be called “Daddy.”
