It’s an established fact that people pleasers are the most successful.
I realized this early in life, so I’ve been kissing everyone’s butt ever since. While getting ahead at the game of life. Slowly—but surely—working myself up the corporate ladder of success.
But here’s the catch.
At first, kissing butt and being a brown nose, was so draining. It’s like an energy vampire came along and sucked the life force from my neck.
I was working all hours of the night, doing everything people asked me to do and more, just to meet ridiculous deadlines. Deadlines on projects that weren’t mine.
I even lost precious hours that cut into my beauty sleep.

Without losing energy. Without losing sleep. And without letting people take advantage of one’s kindness.

1/ Look for Opportunities
First, you need to find small opportunities to help others.
It could be as simple as holding the door open for someone or offering to help carry their groceries inside. You can even take it a step further and put away all their food.
Because you never know. They just might offer you a steaming hot pizza or an adult beverage for your generosity.
Here’s the thing. When you do something nice for someone, it makes them feel good. And the best part? They’re more likely to return the favor.
