I manage 4 Facebook pages on the social media network.

And one feature I’ve been dying to try is the Live Audio Rooms feature.

But when Facebook announced it back in June 2021, they limited it to a very few pages by invitation-only.

After that initial launch, I tuned into a few Live Audio Rooms and loved the conversations.

I was especially excited to hear Gary Vaynerchuk and Jason Silva talking live.

When I logged into one of my Facebook pages today, I was excited to see the page could now start a Live Audio Room.

When I saw this, I jumped to my other Facebook pages to see if the feature had rolled out to every page.

Unfortunately, Live Audio Rooms have not rolled out to every single Facebook page. I can attest to this fact.

Because when I logged into my main page (Alexander Bentley), I couldn’t go live with an audio-only room. The only option I had was to start a live video feed from my mobile phone.

It was the one page that I really wanted to start a Live Audio room with. Since I have over 500,000 followers on Facebook, I’ve been looking for a new way to engage my fans—besides live video or posting every day.

Either way, I’m going to give the Live Audio Room feature a try on one of my other pages (Night & Luna and Makata poetry community) very soon.

How To Check If You Have Live Audio Enabled

The easiest way to check if you have Facebook’s Live Audio Room feature enabled on your Facebook page is to check it from your mobile phone.

Here are the quick steps to verify if the feature has rolled out to your page:

  1. Switch over to your Facebook page from your personal account
  2. From your Page, tap the Live icon near the top of the page
  3. If you have the feature turned on, you’ll see the Choose Live type menu pop up from the bottom
